The Opportunity
Working for a Garment Supplier for the High Street, working closely with factories in India and China.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide technical development management. To ensure that quality standards are set and maintained at all times
· Set Quality Standard for garments across the range.
· Work with the Suppliers Technical team to agree method of make and fit.
· Work with Design and Buying teams to ensure Quality Standards are in place.
· Work with Buyer on fit and style detail.
· Setting up of required block patterns.
· Work alongside Hubs to ensure that Quality Standards are in place before start of production.
· Maintain and update progress system making sure that the critical path dates are maintained.
The Person
- Education in Textiles
- Experience within a retail/manufacturing environment
- Strong technical awareness of Woven and Knitted garments.
- Understanding of fabric testing/ wearer trials.
- Understanding of size specifications and grading rules
